Our local presence guarantees proximity to our customers. This proximity is a factor of improvement in the management of operations. DB Cargo France has experience in the transport of materials and aggregates: in 2005, the very first DB Cargo France train was transporting goods for a company in this sector in the north of France.

We were able to help one of our major customers increase its delivery capacity from three trains per week to 25 today. In addition, we were able to optimize their logistic scheme by operating 24-hour rotations with loading at the origin site, unloading at the destination site, and then returning to the origin site. To meet this challenge, we were able to take into account the constraints of this customer, both in terms of loading and unloading times, as well as the need for adapted wagons. The success of this project, which represents a significant cost saving for both parties, is an emblematic success for DB Cargo France.
